There are so many amazing aspects of a wedding. The outfits, the exchanging of vows and rings, seeing guests, the dancing, music, and fantastic memories. Out of everything, though, food deserves some particular attention on this romantic day. From the cocktail hour to the wedding breakfast and, of course, the cake, the food you have during your wedding day deserves some love. Here are 4 amazing ways to make food part of your wedding day.

  1. Enjoy a Morning Breakfast/Brunch

Whether you are having a morning, afternoon, or evening wedding, you have to think about what food you and the wedding party (think bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family) will have in the lead-up to the ceremony. You don’t have to worry about guests at this stage. There’s no need to hold back, though! It’s your special day, after all, and a good enough reason to go all out. You could have a breakfast or brunch spread put together with luxurious pastries, fruit, mini muffins, smoked salmon, eggs, and pancakes or waffles with plenty of topping options. This type of set-up enables grazing for all those within the wedding party. Alternatively, you could always arrange to have room service if you are getting ready in the venue. A hearty dish of Eggs Benedict on toast or an English muffin could be the perfect meal to calm the nerves and get your energy up, ready to enjoy the day.

  • Get Wedding Caterers to Handle The Cooking

Once you know breakfast or brunch is sorted, now it’s time to consider what food will take center stage during the wedding breakfast and evening reception. You might consider going down the food truck route for the evening, and let your guests enjoy pizza, tacos, gourmet burgers and chips, or Thai street food in a relaxed vibe. For your wedding breakfast, however, you might prefer to stick to tradition and soak in the atmosphere of your wedding day over a three-course sit-down meal provided by a wedding catering company. Whether you have specific ideas in mind or dietary or religious restrictions to consider, going to caterers who believe in delivering dramatic, bold, and passionate experiences with their food helps your wedding stand out.

  • Let Your Sweet Tooth Go Crazy

If you have a sweet tooth or know that your guests love anything sugary, what better opportunity to bring your dessert dreams to life than on your wedding day? If you’re having a winter wedding, you could have a station that offers multiple hot puddings, from steaming cookie dough to crepes and pancakes to donuts. In the summer, ice cream could go down a treat. Hire or get hold of a vintage ice cream truck or cart to let your guests choose the exact flavors and toppings they love and watch smiles grow wider.

Don’t have a sweet tooth but still want to have a pudding station? Why not have a savory one instead? A cheese board with a mix of soft, creamy, hard, blue, or aged cheeses alongside crusty sourdough slices or fresh baguettes, grapes, nuts, cured meats, and crackers could be the most indulgent treat you enjoy.

  • Take Cake Cutting to a New Level

One element of a wedding that is a big deal for both the bride and groom, not to mention a fantastic photo opportunity, is the cutting of the cake. Rather than just getting your guests to stand around watching, why not get them to hold sparklers or join in with a toast as you cut into the cake? You could ask them to throw confetti (biodegradable, of course) or cheer at the end. Again, these all make for perfect photo opportunities for your photographer. To elevate this experience, you might even want to use a ceremonial sword.
