We built today almost entirely around chasing good light and good views, which in hindsight was maybe asking for trouble with how much we had our phones out. Here’s how our honeymoon day in Singapore actually went, small phone drama included.
8:00am – Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay
Started early to beat the crowds at the Cloud Forest, the waterfall inside is honestly even better in person than in photos, and the cool air was a nice contrast to the heat outside. We took way too many photos here, but in our defense, every corner looked like a screensaver.
10:30am – Wandering the Supertrees
Spent a good hour just walking under the Supertree Grove, no real plan, just enjoying being somewhere new together. Free to wander the outdoor gardens, which made it easy to linger without watching the clock.
12:30pm – Lunch by the River at Clarke Quay
Grabbed lunch riverside at Clarke Quay, nothing fancy, just good food and a nice view of the boats going past. This trip has honestly been as much about slowing down as seeing things.
3:00pm – Up to the Marina Bay Sands Skypark
Headed up to the Skypark for the golden hour view everyone talks about, and it’s genuinely worth the hype. We were leaning over the edge trying to get the perfect shot of the skyline when my husband’s phone slipped slightly in his hand, caught it before it went over, thankfully, but it clipped the railing hard enough that the screen cracked down one side.
Not the souvenir we were hoping for, but we didn’t let it ruin the moment, the view was too good to be annoyed for long.
6:00pm – Looking for the Dessert Place Everyone Keeps Mentioning
We’d read about some dessert spot near HarbourFront that was supposedly worth the trip, so we made our way over to VivoCity afterward to track it down before dinner. Took a bit of wandering to find the right level, the mall’s bigger than either of us expected.
On the way past one of the shopfronts, we noticed a phone screen repair shop called Mister Mobile and remembered the crack from earlier, figured it was worth a quick ask since we were already right there. They had it looked at while we kept browsing nearby, honestly barely slowed us down. While we were there, they mentioned a promo running for tourists at their Vivocity Mister Mobile branch. A battery replacement from $38 with a free waterproof phone bag included, so we got that sorted too since neither phone had been holding charge great in the heat. We joked the whole rest of the night about the bag being for “protecting future honeymoon photos,” given how today went.
Found the dessert place eventually, and it did not disappoint.
8:00pm – Helix Bridge at Night
Walked over the Helix Bridge as it lit up, one of the better nighttime views we’ve caught on this trip, phone safely tucked away this time until we actually stopped to take the photo.
9:00pm – Dinner Cruise on the Marina
Ended the night with a slow dinner cruise around the bay, skyline lit up on both sides, a proper way to close out a day that had a bit of everything, views, food, and one small phone scare that turned out fine in the end.
If today taught us anything, it’s that a cracked screen doesn’t have to derail a honeymoon, and neither does a phone that can’t hold a charge in this heat. Sorted both in the time it took to find dessert.
